I was both surprised and delighted earlier this year to discover that I had been nominated for the Door Drop Industry’s prestigious Arthur Thompson Memorial Award.
Arthur was an industry giant who contributed enormously to the growth of the industry that I worked in for over 30 years. I felt therefore, both humbled and honoured to be presented the Award by Arthur’s son Steve at a lunch attended by so many people who had become friends over the years.
The DMA Door Drop Council Chairman Mark Young, and Graham Dodd whose own contribution to the industry over the 20 years that I was involved was tireless, said some very kind words and Graham’s account of the occasion is here on the DMA blog.
After lunch the party moved on to a local pub and the ‘official’ if somewhat more ‘relaxed’ photographs were taken!
Thanks to all who made the day so enjoyable; it is so good to know that my input was appreciated and valued.
